When Jim Hurd started INSCO (INsulation Service COmpany) in 1984, his business strategy was simple:
"Always perform at the highest of expectations, fairness, and honesty."
For the first ten years Insco worked primarily in power and process plants providing industrial type insulation applications. During which time Insco encountered every type of insulation application there is, everything from high temperature boiler walls and breechings to ultra low temperature ammonia systems. When the market changed and the commercial arena grew, Insco was there, providing our services throughout the greater Kansas City Metro area and beyond. Insco now has the resources to provide mechanical insulation services for all projects anywhere in the United States, from the largest Industrial project down to the smallest Commercial project.
Along the way, we have designed and customized certain applications that are so unique to Insco that no one else can duplicate the results. A primary example of this is our removable blankets for valves, flanges, and equipment. We fabricate all of our own removable blankets in house so we know they will fit properly sewing, not stapling the seams for increased durability and appearance. Insco can manufacture removable blankets to any specification and out of any materials per the customer's request. Insco also has an in-house metal fabrication shop. We can provide metal fabrication for any application such as tanks tops, equipment heads, pump boxes, breechings, stacks, and many others.
Insco still prides itself on the level of service we can provide. No matter what the request or schedule requirements, we do whatever it takes to get the job done on time and to the satisfaction of the client.
